PorterWe are pleased to inform you that today Alesha Porter will be taking on the role as principal of Pioneer Elementary. Alesha is a graduate of Quincy High School. She received her teaching degree from Heritage University and her Master's degree and Administrative Credential from Grand Canyon University. Alesha has worked as a teacher at both George and Pioneer Elementary Schools and most recently served as the Dean of Student at Pioneer. She has been a tremendous teacher-leader in our district and we feel she has the education, experience and skills to effectively lead the school.

Want to learn more about Immigration / Citizenship and DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals)? You are invited to an important meeting to learn the facts about these topics.

The Director of USCIS (Citizenship & Immigration Services), Keith Brown, and his assistant, Annabel Burch, both from the district office in Yakima, will be presenting information and answering your questions on these subjects.

When: Thursday, June 22nd
Begins at 6:30 p.m. and will last about 1 ½ hrs.

Where: Quincy High School PAC

The Quincy School District (QSD) is accepting written food service proposals from qualified food service management companies (FSMCs) to provide food services according to Local Education Agency (LEA) specifications.

Sealed proposals must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. 7/17/2017. Proposals received after scheduled closing will not be considered.

The Quincy School District (QSD) reserves the right to accept any proposal which it deems most favorable to its interests. It also reserves the right to waive any informalities and irregularities and reject any and/or all proposals or any portion of any proposal submitted which in the QSD's opinion is not in the best interest of the Quincy School District.

No FSMC may withdraw or alter its proposal after the time set for opening thereof, provided, if the award of contract is delayed for a period of more than forty-five (45) days from the date of opening and a new request for proposals is made, amended proposals may be made.
