Welcome to Quincy Junior High School.  Junior high school is a time of change.  The workload and social adjustments are greater here than at the elementary level and students will be expected to attend school regularly, work hard in their classes, and behave appropriately.  We hope that your year will be filled with many new and exciting opportunities.  If parents have any questions or concerns we encourage you to call the school so we can help.

The staff at Quincy Junior High is dedicated to improve student learning.  While our students made significant gains last year, we know that we must continue to move forward to keep pace with the state and federal standards.  The staff is confident that we have the tools necessary to make this happen!  We have made a commitment as a staff to focus on student data.  We use this data to make sure that we are able to meet the specific needs of each child that comes to our school.  We plan to communicate regularly with parents to make sure that students get their work done and make progress on their learning goals.  We ask for parent assistance in making sure that all students meet their own potential.    Simply said, when parents and schools work together, students benefit.

The staff and I would like to thank you for entrusting the job of educating your child to us.  We take this job seriously and we are dedicated to making all students successful.  Please contact us if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Scott Ramsey
