Susan Lybbert was elected to the Quincy School Board in 2015. Originally from Whidbey Island, Susan moved to Quincy in 2009 with her husband Warren where they own and operate a rental company out of Crescent Bar. She has spent the last 18 years working, attending or volunteering in the educational field. After working for the Oak Harbor School District, Susan worked and graduated from Central Washington University with a degree Geography and Public Policy. She then moved to Bellevue College to work in administration before ending up at Shoreline Community College to work as Running Start and High School completion program coordinator.
Her two children, Odessa and Warren attend Quincy School’s where Susan has been actively involved in the Parent Volunteer Committee. She is passionate about creating open communication and equal opportunities for all students to reach their goals. Her lifelong interest in special education began in high school volunteering with a student with muscular dystrophy. She has continued to advocate and develop an interest in the ability of every student to be successful regardless of background.
