Quincy School District is in the process of implementing a new Teacher and Principal performance evaluation system in compliance with recent legislative requirements. As a part of this new system, teachers and principals are being evaluated each year on eight state-established criteria. The rating system is a four-tiered scale including the following: Unsatisfactory, Basic, Proficient and Distinguished. Each school district is required to adopt one of three similar "instructional frameworks" as the basis for the teacher evaluation. Quincy School District has adopted the Marzano Instructional Framework for this. There is also a Leadership Framework that provides the basis for the Principal evaluation system that was developed by the Association of Washington School Principals. Click on the links below to view each of these frameworks in more detail.
